There has been a LOT of information from Blizzard about housing, so my goal is to condense the information into bite-sized pieces.
According to Blizzard, decor should come from everywhere and everything!
They want us to find decor rewards in all sorts of gameplay, not just a single avenue
that we feel forced to interact with over and over. For example, while a
specific jade-inlaid bookshelf might come from a particular quest in Pandaria,
other bookshelves could come from vendors, professions or other forms
of content.
Finally all that past grind will be worth it!
These are the key points you need to know now:
- If you’ve achieved something in the
past, you will get the reward
- If you raised your reputation to
exalted with someone, you’ll be able to purchase their goods right away
- If you completed an achievement 10 years ago that rewards a NEW piece of
decor today , you’ll be granted that piece of decor on login
- They are going to continue
fleshing out decor from past expansions in future patches and they will be
earnable via the appropriate content of their expansion
- Decor rewards will be available for meta achievements from past expansions.

So what that means for players like me, is that we have time to catch up with the Exalted Reputation.
